The client is an organization which enables users to pay for their parking space with a mobile app, sms, or through other ways. When a user subscribes with the client, he/she can activate and deactivate the service in cities which support the client’s service. Monthly an invoice is created which is sent over to the user. Cities require insight in the client’s data to validate if someone is activated with the service and to handle the financial transactions.
Because of increased popularity and frequency of usage of the service, the client and municipalities require assurance for the completeness of the turnover. The client uses several collection, event logging and algorithms to determine the turnover transactions saved in the database. The client wants to explore the options for an online revenue assurance tool to assure the correctness of the turnover.
Deloitte researched the end-to-end process from user input to turnover output, validating the correctness of the service and assessing the readiness of the client’s infrastructure to work with an online revenue assurance tool.
The report provided by Deloitte made recommendations based on the correctness and completeness of the in- and output information, the validity of the algorithms and potential usage within an online revenue assurance tool, the completeness, correctness and degree of prediction of the saved turnover. The report also described what the potential requirements are for an online revenue assurance tool, and assesses the readiness of the client’s infrastructure for the implementation of such a tool.
