Zynga: leading social network game developer with a revenue of $850m est. and $400m profit in 2010, with 237m monthly users and 14.2m new users joining each month. Over 10% of the global internet population plays Zynga games
Facebook: the world’s largest social network, with $2bn est. in 2010 revenues and $400m in profit. It has 605m active users. Games companies share their revenues with Facebook in addition to spending on Facebook ads
Apple: world’s leading technology company by market cap, $65b revenues and $18,5b in profit in 2010. iPhone hits Angry birds and Doodle Jump have seen more than 50 million copies downloaded
